Rejected Load Recovery in Miami

When a Miami receiver refuses freight because of a missed appointment, shifted pallets, overage, damage or paperwork, the driver needs a safe place to unload and return to dispatch.

When You Need This Service

Common cases include grocery or retail distribution centers refusing a late truck, pallets shifted during transit, partial order refusal, a consignee not being ready, or freight arriving before a new appointment can be secured. We receive the truck, review the BOL, unload, photograph visible condition and perform approved rework.

Other situations include a trailer breakdown, a missed distribution-center appointment, cargo that must be separated for multiple consignees, or freight that needs a different trailer before continuing. Calling before arrival allows the dock team to confirm equipment, labor and staging space.

How the Process Works

1. Arrival planning

Provide the BOL, pallet or carton count, approximate weight, dimensions, commodity, inbound ETA, trailer or container type and the outbound plan. We confirm whether the freight requires forklift handling, hand unloading, pallet materials or special documentation.

2. Driver check-in and BOL review

The driver checks in with the shipment paperwork and service authorization. We compare the instructions with the inbound load and identify visible exceptions before work begins.

3. Unload, transfer or rework

Freight is moved according to the approved scope. Depending on the job, that can include trailer-to-trailer transfer, carton unloading, SKU sorting, pallet building, restacking, shrink-wrapping, labeling or temporary staging.

4. Verification and condition records

Counts are checked at the practical handling level, and visible freight condition can be documented with photographs. Any discrepancies or newly visible damage are reported so the broker, shipper or consignee can provide instructions.

5. Outbound release

The freight is loaded to the outbound vehicle, staged for a new appointment or held for redelivery. Drivers should not be dispatched until timing and receiving instructions are confirmed.

Pricing Factors

Recovery pricing is based on pallet count, floor-loaded versus palletized freight, rework, storage duration, special handling and any local redelivery requested.

For the fastest quote, send pallet or carton count, weight, dimensions, photographs when available, ETA and the exact work requested. We do not recommend relying on a generic flat rate for problem freight because labor and handling can vary significantly.

Miami Service Area

Our Miami warehouse at 3500 NW 114th Street supports freight moving through Doral, Medley, Hialeah, Miami International Airport, PortMiami and the broader Miami-Dade market. We also coordinate freight serving Broward and Palm Beach when the job originates from or routes through Miami.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you receive this freight the same day?

Same-day receiving may be available when the shipment details, ETA, labor needs and dock space are confirmed in advance. Call before dispatching the driver.

Do you photograph freight condition?

Visible condition photographs can be taken during receiving or rework when requested. Photos support communication but do not replace a formal inspection or concealed-damage determination.

Can you hold freight until a new appointment?

Yes. Short-term staging can be added while the broker, carrier or consignee secures the next appointment.

What payment methods are available?

Credit card, ACH, company check and approved business accounts may be available. Confirm the payment method during service authorization.
